Are you a true sun-worshipper in search of a truly hot holiday for 2013? It goes without saying that Barbados is blissfully warm all year round thanks to its idyllic Caribbean location, which forms one reason as to why it’s such a popular tourist destination. If so, you may be wondering when’s the best time to jet off to the sun-soaked land of Barbados…
Although the weather is blissfully warm and humid (although not too stuffy!) all year round, with temperatures no lower than the mid 70s, the weather does change throughout the year and you may experience some pretty unpredictable weather; a boiling hot day with clear blue skies can quickly be replaced by rainy spells and sometimes even thunder and lightening!
December to mid-April
This is undoubtedly Barbados’ busiest season as this is the driest season. Although there will be some rainy spells, rain is certainly hard to find between December and April and temperatures can reach up to the 80s.
Warm sunny days and clear blue skies can be expected during April.
Mid-April to June
Temperatures in Barbados remain comfortable at this time of the year, with hot weather, clear skies and some speckles of rain throughout the month.
July to November
The rainy season starts mid-July but the afternoon sprinkles of rain are very localized. Temperatures reach up to 85F.
August, the hurricane season, is usually when the tropical storms begin but don’t let this put you off. August is still a very popular time to visit and Barbados is located more than 100 miles away from the hurricane path!
September to November maintain hot temperatures and rainy spells.
