Starting with the living rooms, you’d certainly spend far too much time in all three of them if it wasn’t paradise outside. Sumptuous sofas, plush velvet footstools and shaggy rugs create a wonderfully homely feel. Light floods in through floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing the glorious outside in. Indeed, the open-plan living room on the first floor leads onto an expansive south-facing terrace that runs down two sides of the house. Here you’ll find a heated pool next to a refreshing plunge pool, sun loungers and a barbecue. The space has been carefully designed with alfresco festivities in mind, and offers views over the Mediterranean and La Concha mountain.

Upstairs on the second floor you’ll find the master bedroom with an enormous walk-in wardrobe (another two guest rooms can be found on the ground floor), perhaps the most serene space in the house, and there’s some serious competition. On a clear day you can see Morocco from the room’s private terrace. Award-winning interior designer Andrea Böck of Ambience Home Design has worked her magic throughout, so expect to find solid marble dining tables, hand-painted murals, and a baby grand piano cleverly separating living areas. Elsewhere, a slick Bulthaup kitchen with integrated appliances and stylish breakfast bar is the ideal spot to start your day.

However, you’ll find some of her finest work downstairs in the basement. Should you need it, there’s a characteristically decadent boardroom with a stunning bar area and, remarkably, James Bond’s Die Another Day Aston Martin Vanquish, parked just across the room. For the duration of your stay, you’ll also enjoy full access to the exclusive Owners Club facilities, including the club house, gym and Six Senses Spa.
