The John Lewis advert is on our screens…
The shops are full of wrapping paper, advent calenders and bath sets…
You’re considering the dangers of buying your Christmas Quality Street box early…
All of this can only mean one thing!
With December 25th fast approaching, it is difficult to avoid the stresses that are synonymous with the Christmas rush … no matter how you try not to get ‘sucked in’
Luckily Christmas time is also high season in the Caribbean, so you will be pleased to hear that Luxury Villa Living can offer you a relaxing, warm and yet still vibrant Christmas escape!
Although the Caribbean holds infinite options for your Christmas getaway, we have chosen a select few to demonstrate the wonders of a Caribbean Christmas!
The Grand Dame of glamour! Barbados is the most Easterly of the Caribbean islands and is renowned for its focus on luxury tourism and impeccable customer service.
With a land mass of only 166 square miles, the island is incredibly user friendly and has plenty to offer in terms of accommodation, entertainment and culture.
Any worries you have about losing that authentic festive feeling, will melt away in the knowledge that Bajans love Christmas just as much as we do! Many adorn their houses and shops with traditional Christmas decorations, whilst concerts and parades take place all over the island incorporating the traditions that we all love so very much.
Barbados has a number of options when it comes to accommodation and through our Concierge services at Luxury Villa Living we can adapt and customise your holiday to make your Bajan Christmas escape just perfect.
For those who want to make their Christmas getaway a family affair there are some fantastic larger properties such as Cove Spring House which can provide for larger groups.
Cove Spring House is a fantastic 10 bedroom, beachfront mansion, situated on Barbados’ famous West Coast. Designed using coral stone and adorned with haute-couture decor, Cove Spring House is the definition of luxury. With amenities such as a private spa, fitness suite and cinema, family members of all ages and interests will be satisfied … if you can get them off the beach! Any request you have will be dealt with by a member of Cove Spring House’s, 19 full time staff which includes a manager, chef, butlers, maids, gardeners and security … you wont need to lift a finger!
For smaller groups there are an array of beach front apartments such as the newly built Portico 1, which may have fewer bedrooms but in no way compromises on luxury.
Situated on Prospect Beach in St James, Portico #1 is an award winning, 3 bedroom, apartment with direct beach access and an 80 foot lap pool. As well as an impressive list of amenities and a finely tuned contemporary decor, Portico #1 also has a fantastic team of staff including a cook, housekeeper and 24 hour security.
However, the possibilities don’t end there! There are a range of options to explore and with 10% off all Barbados Villas between now and the 30th November, there has never been a better time to experience all that Barbados has to offer!
Little Whale Cay
Nothing spells luxury more than a private island retreat and at Little Whale Cay this is exactly what they offer.
Little Whale Cay is located 140 miles South-East of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in the Berry Island chain at the heart of the Bahamas. The 93 acre island offers luxury accommodation for up to 12 guests in 3 separate villas and is available for exclusive rentals. The island has something to suit everyone, from white, sandy beaches for those sun worshipers in need of some relaxation, to a variety of water sports and activities for thrill seekers.

St Barths has been an incredibly popular choice for Christmas getaways this year, and why wouldn’t it be! With it’s rolling landscape, rocky inlets and sandy beaches, the beauty of this island takes your breath away.
The island is 14 miles South-East of St Martin and has a land area of just 8.5 square miles and along with Guadelope, Martinique, Saint Martin, Les Saintes, Marie-Galante and La Desirade it makes up part of the French West Indies.
St Barths is frequented at Christmas time by the super-chic elite and can boast hosting a range of high profile jet-setters from the likes of Simon Cowell to Roman Abramovich.
The island has a range of both small and large private villas, making it perfect for both intimate breaks and family holidays…
Villa Amalie is one of the smaller villas on the island but still boasts fantastic views and luxurious decor and furnishings. The property has only one bedroom and has a maximum capacity of two people, offering you the opportunity to share personal and precious moments.
However, if it is a larger villa that you need, 5 or more bedroom options such as Villa Amancaya are plentiful. Amancaya encourages a feeling of oneness with nature; with it’s open spaces, wood interiors and views of the sea and islets, it would be difficult not to appreciate the gifts of mother nature. Despite this the property subtly provides all the necessary modern amenities, such as WiFi, air conditioning and satellite TV.
