Description

Maryfield House sleeps up to 16 + 4 guests (using guest beds which are an additional charge) in seven bedrooms and has 3 en-suite bedrooms and 2 family bathrooms.

Ground Floor

Entrance hall: with original patterned terracotta tiled floor

Lounge: Gothic style stone mullion windows, sofas, window seat, stone fireplace and TV with SKY

Drawing room: with stone mullion windows, sofas, large TV with SKY, i-Pod docking station and a fireplace, the main room for the family to gather together

Library: desk for working and comfy sofas for reading one of the many books

Dining room: with stone mullion windows, exposed stone wall and fireplace, the dining table can seat 18 to 20 guests for a wonderful celebratory meal

Kitchen: a large fully equipped kitchen with a 4-oven AGA, electric oven, dishwasher, American fridge/freezer, microwave and a breakfast table with seating for 10 guests and a log burner

Games room: with TV, DVD and wood burner and board games

Sunroom: great room for escaping the crowds

Utility room: with washer, dryer, fridge/freezer

Downstairs cloakroom: with W.C.

Grounds

The grounds comprise a total area of 3 acres, mainly to the front and side of Maryfield House and include 2 paddocks. The garden to the front is laid to lawn and to the side there are several terraces including one with an outdoor heated swimming pool and another with a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining.

The swimming pool (7 metres x 3 metres) is gated and is open between June and September, there are sun loungers and seating with an umbrella to shade from the summer sun. For the children the garden also has a tree house, swing, slide and trampoline.

There is plenty of parking to both the front and rear of the property

Main staircase to:

Master bedroom: a large bedroom with a 4-poster superking bed, seating and a vaulted ceiling. The en-suite bathroom has a separate large walk-in shower, bath and twin sinks

Bedroom 2: a double bedroom with a 4-poster superking bed and en-suite bathroom with shower

Bedroom 3: a children’s room with 2 double bunk beds and 2 truckle beds (sleeps up to 6 guests)

Bedroom 4: a double or twin bedroom with a superking bed

Separate W.C.: with basin

Family bathroom: with large walk-in shower and a roll-top bath

Staircase to second floor:

Bedroom 5: with a double superking bed and a single bed with truckle bed. If required the bedroom can be set up with 4 single beds for occupation by children, this room has amazing views

Bathroom: opposite the bedroom with vaulted ceilings and a roll-top bath with shower head, this bathroom has amazing views

Secondary staircase to upper ground level from ground floor by children’s snug

Family suite: with two connecting bedrooms sharing a bathroom
