Description

Embraced by 30 acres of vineyards, olive groves, a forest, and a lake, the villa can accommodate 37 guests across 20 bedrooms (17 double bedrooms and 2 single rooms) spread over multiple buildings. The villa can also sleep three additional guests on request.

In the 15th century, the hamlet was owned by the Ghirlandaio family, renowned Renaissance painters. The villa served as their summer residence and a place to entertain prominent artists such as Raffaello, Pontormo, and Botticelli. Within its walls, the villa features a chapel frescoed by Ridolfo Ghirlandaio.

The villa can accommodate 37 guests in 20 bedrooms (17 double bedrooms and 2 single rooms). Additionally, upon request, three extra beds can be added in some bedrooms. All bedrooms feature king-size beds, luxurious bed linen, stylish marble bathrooms with either a rain shower or bathtub, walk-in wardrobes, and safe boxes. The accommodation is spread over several buildings on the estate: the Main Villa, the Farmhouse, the Old Shop, the Olive Oil Mill, the Olive Oil Mill’s Dépendance, the Studio, and the Lemon House.

Surrounded by rolling hills, the villa boasts a magnificent swimming pool and a spacious poolside area equipped with comfortable sun loungers, inviting guests to unwind. This exceptional area beside the pool provides the perfect setting for relaxation with a good book and a glass of Prosecco. The villa also features a wellness area and a restaurant with its own vegetable garden. The wellness area includes a sauna, a hydro-pool, a Turkish bath, a massage area, an emotional shower for relaxation techniques, and a well-equipped gym.

Main Villa (5 Double Bedrooms):
The main villa, where the family once lived and hosted elegant events during the 15th century, features five double bedrooms with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms, including a panoramic second-floor bedroom. On the ground floor, you will find two living rooms, a dining room, and a modern kitchen, along with the first of the five bedrooms. The first floor houses three double bedrooms, while the second floor features the final bedroom. One of the en-suite bathrooms includes a bathtub.

Farmhouse (3 Double Bedrooms + 1 Single Room):
Once the heart of the estate’s agricultural centre, the farmhouse now offers three double bedrooms and one single room on the first floor, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, and guest bathroom on the ground floor. The famous chapel frescoed by Ridolfo Ghirlandaio is part of the farmhouse complex.

Old Shop (2 Double Bedrooms):
This former exhibition space, where the Ghirlandaio family displayed their art, has been converted into a delightful guest house. All accommodation is on one level, featuring two double bedrooms with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms (one with a bathtub and one with a shower), a spacious living and dining area, a modern kitchen, and a guest bathroom. There are just four steps up to the bedrooms.

Olive Oil Mill (2 Double Bedrooms + 1 Single Room):
Once used for pressing the estate’s famous DOP extra virgin olive oils, this charming building now offers three bedrooms: a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom, and a single room sharing a bathroom. All bedrooms are located on the first floor. On the ground floor, you will find a delightful living room, dining room, kitchen, and extra bathroom. Please note that the kitchen is not fully equipped but includes a fridge, microwave, and ice machine.

Olive Oil Mill’s Dépendance (1 Double Bedroom):
Measuring about 20 square metres, this dépendance features a comfortable double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Accommodation is all on one level.

Studio (3 Double Bedrooms + 1 Single Room):
The studio, likely the most important building on the estate where many painters practised their art, offers an open-plan living and dining area, a kitchen, and an extra bathroom on the ground floor. The first floor features a double bedroom and a single room sharing a bathroom, while the second floor includes two double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.

Lemon House (1 Double Bedroom):
Located all on one level, the Lemon House features a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a living area.
